Not at all! Many of our most successful clients came to us with just a product idea. Our scientists guide you through the entire process — from concept to commercial batch — so you don’t need any prior experience.

How long does it take from concept to pilot batch?

Typically 6–8 weeks from the initial discovery call to receiving your pilot batch. Simple single-herb formulations can be faster; complex multi-ingredient nutraceutical formulas may take 8–10 weeks.

What if I already have a formula from another manufacturer?

We can work with your existing formula to improve bioavailability, enhance flavour masking, or optimize excipient combinations. Many clients come to us because their current manufacturer couldn’t achieve consistent quality.

Do I own the formula or does Shakumbhri?

You own 100% of the formula. We sign an IP Assignment Agreement that legally transfers full ownership to you. The formula cannot be reproduced, modified, or licensed to any other client.

What formats can you develop for?

We formulate for all 7 dosage forms: capsules, tablets, liquid syrups, juices, herbal powders, oils, and sachets. Each format has dedicated equipment and trained operators.

How much does custom formulation cost?

Pricing depends on complexity. A simple churna starts around ₹15,000–25,000. A multi-ingredient nutraceutical might be ₹40,000–80,000. We provide transparent cost breakdowns at the discovery stage.

Do you help with regulatory submissions?

Yes. We prepare the complete regulatory dossier — product registration form, formula rationale document, stability study data, and label artwork. This is included in the R&D package.

What happens if I’m not satisfied with the pilot batch?

We include 2 rounds of formula refinement. If the pilot batch doesn’t meet expectations, we adjust the formula and produce a revised pilot — at no additional cost. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
